Calling all young writers!
Looking for an opportunity to enhance your creative writing skills and share your work with the community? We are excited to announce that VTO is hosting a first-ever Creative Writing Competition!
Students are invited to submit an original poem, short story, or personal anecdote that addresses the question, “What am I grateful for?”
The competition is open to all interested students in grades 1-9. The lower division comprises grades 1-4, while the upper division includes grades 5-9.
Winners and runner-ups for each division will receive a $50 and $25 Amazon gift card, respectively. They will also have the opportunity to have their piece featured on VTO's website along with a brief Q and A.
The competition will open on May 18th, with the last date for submission being July 6th. Work submitted after July 6th will not be reviewed by the judges. Students will be judged according to their grade level and a standardized rubric.
